Video campaign

In Geneva, excessive debt affects a significant proportion of the population, yet it remains a subject that is often misunderstood, shrouded in silence and prejudice. How does it develop? What are the day-to-day consequences? And above all, how can one regain a sense of hope when feeling trapped?

For this awareness campaign, our mission was to highlight real-life stories whilst creating the conditions necessary for people to speak freely and honestly. Given the sensitive nature of the subject, we opted for a sober, human and respectful documentary-style approach towards those who agreed to share their stories.

To visually accompany these personal accounts, we developed a motion design aesthetic based on the use of shadows. These animations were directly inspired by the campaign visuals created by the Grand Impérial agency. The shadows thus become a visual language in their own right: they convey emotions, doubts and the weight of hardship, but also moments of realisation and the paths towards recovery.

This approach extends the campaign’s graphic identity whilst adding a sensitive and symbolic dimension to the stories. The animated elements interact with the testimonies without ever overshadowing them, allowing the participants’ voices to take centre stage.

The result is a series of content pieces that combine information, prevention and emotion, with the aim of helping to break down the taboos surrounding excessive debt and encouraging those affected to seek help.
